Good morning! As you're all stumbling through the Monday madness, I come to you with a very special treat: meet Levi of tlnique, who has been one of my favorite bloggers since she burst onto the scene just a few months ago! And it's easy to see why - her style exudes chic class, her photos are beautiful (she always inexplicably manages to catch just the right light), her accessories are never anything less than enviable, and she admirably continues to blog even when the going gets tough (see below). She has literally exploded (she certainly has more ease gaining followers than I do - she's already garnered nearly hundreds and with only 21 blog posts under her wing!) and so I figured it wise to approach her now for an interview (before she's out of my league!). Levi is from the Netherlands, living in Amsterdam, but of Vietnamese descent, and below she talks to us about splurging and mornings and admits to never working out.
Well, I don't have particular goals for blogging, I just love to do it and be an inspiration for other people, like many other bloggers are an inspiration for me. It would be great if I could travel some more, or attend a Victoria's Secret Show like Aimee and Chiara did last year!
2 - Who takes your pictures and what camera do you use?
A friend of mine, Jason aka TzeWai. The funny thing is that we barely knew each other before I started my blog! We shoot with a Nikon D7000 using different lenses and sometimes I take pictures with my D60, teamnikon it is!
3 - No lying: how often do you work out? How do you keep yourself motivated?
Next to riding my bike now and then I actually never work out.. I'm not lying! I have to admit that I'm not fit as I used to be a few years ago and that my condition is worse than my grandma's... I do try to eat healthy and avoid sweets and stuff but that's sure not an easy task!
4 - If you had to pick just ONE, who would you say is your favorite fashion blogger?
Hmm, Chiara from theblondesalad was my favorite blogger for years but I have to say that Kristina Bazan has kicked her to second place. She has impeccable style and her photos are just stunning. The fact that she's so young and already made it in the fashion industry is really inspiring (and motivating)!
5 - Do you have any siblings?
No, I don't have any sisters and brothers, always wanted one though but private circumstances have never let to one.
6 - How much is too much for a purse?
Uh.. I think 2K would be max for a purse. My Prada Saffiano (styled here) I got last year for my birthday was 1250 euros.. I literally paid for it with my eyes closed! Don't get me wrong, I love that bag and I'm carrying it with me almost everyday, no regret at all. It's just the 'handing over the money' part :P
7 - How many languages do you speak?
Three, nothing special. I speak fluently Dutch, Vietnamese and English. I've never been really good at strange languages. I had French and German classes for almost four years but I hardly remember anything.. Too bad!
8 - Best invention since sliced bread:
A toothbrush I guess LOL, can't sleep before brushing my teeth when I go to bed.
9 - When in life have you felt the most alone?
Last year when I first heard the news about my mum having cancer. She was in Vietnam at the time and I was here in the Netherlands. That period was the time I felt most alone since I can remember.
10 - Describe your morning routine.
I don't have a specific routine or so... I mostly snooze my alarm ten times and take too much more time than needed to eat my breakfast. I like to play on my keyboard because it gives me that feeling of relaxation, best way to start the day. :)

ReplyDeleteYou're right with the SLR, and I can take the SLR in my hand baggage, but the problem is that I'm only allowed to carry a hand baggage with 10 KG. And the SLR weighs around 2 KG.
